WYLN’s Rebeen Pasha moderated panel discussion “Kurdistan Re-Inventing Itself, Yet Again” held at the Center for Transatlantic Relations SAIS in Washington D.C.

Hemin Hawrami, Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office and Salam Mohammad Islam, Rwanga Foundation Executive Director discussed the overall situation in Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan. Hemin Hawrami is the youngest member of the KDP leadership. Salam Mohammad Islam served as an advisor to both KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani before taking the helm of Rwanga Foundation that strives to further boost the important role of the civil society in Iraqi Kurdistan. WYLN’s Reeben Pasha who served as a Senior Advisor to the USAID Middle East Bureau and worked with the UN in Iraq announced more comprehensive activities to support entrepreneurship in Iraqi Kurdistan.
