Dana Kazic graduated from School of Economics and Business (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina) in 2006. During her studies she also received a scholarship from the State Department and spent one year taking business courses at University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. She gained a Master degree in International Tourism and Leisure from MIB School of Management (Trieste, Italy) in 2009.
Dana has diverse international work experience. She has lived in 7 countries and worked across 11 industries including museums, university, hotel, marketing agency, fashion, NGO’s etc.
She spent 3 years in Doha, Qatar. In 2013, Dana worked as a project manager for Material Science Center Qatar, a joint venture between Qatar Holding, Qatar Science Technology and Park, Volkswagen AG and Porsche AG. During that time she was responsible for the creation of the company mission & vision, its strategy, financial plans and official procedures. The following 2 years Dana worked as a consultant for Qatar Museums. She was hand-picked to conduct a research project and official presentation for the Strategic Office and CEO on “Importance of museums and why governments invest in arts and culture”. She worked on multiple projects with crucial national stakeholders including Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), Qatar Airways, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Hamad International Airport, Katara Aspire Hospitality and others in order to align the marketing efforts and improve joint cooperation. In addition she was responsible for creating promotional materials and executing campaigns and exhibitions. Dana promoted Qatar Museums offerings in Germany and UAE and organized an exhibition in France as part of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Dana is also the executive board member of America Bosnia Foundation. As a member Dana was in charge of organizing 2 conferences; “The Western Balkans: “Progress, Stagnation, or Regression?” in 2011 and “Civil Society in the Western Balkans” in 2012 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dana currently lives in Salt Lake City, USA. Her greatest strengths include relationship building, project management, event planning, marketing and creative solutions to business problems.
